The story is about a fictional world and species I'm developing. The species are called Tune Croons and they live where music is the language for communication and emotional responses. In this world the forest are filled with strange creatures that emit musical sounds through their bodies to find their mates. Once a pair realizes they are able to harmonize with each other they are a mated pair.
I want to incorporate colors, lines, and sounds to talk for the characters themselves. The line work would be sketchy and simple in structure of all the elements in the piece. My inspiration for this comes from the art works of Dr. Suess. Growing up I recall the creation of creatures to tell his stories.
Story: A lonely male Tune Croon journeys around the forest in search of the perfect female. After trying too hard to impress just anyone he realizes his actions aren't working. This Tune Croon learns that you can't go out and look for love, love will find you.
This is a image of the main character who is looking for his mate. He emits sounds from a trumpet which will be composed with his actions and emotions. The colors below are examples of the color tone used in the entire animation.
